There a few odd things going on in Metin2 UK at the moment, which I have noticed. Some things that a lot of other people wouldn't see, unless they add up all the facts..
Firstly, is GUILD WAR FIXING
This is a new kind of 'hacking'. Firstly, you get a level 40 to set up a guild. You get some average level members, of average strength. Secondly, you set up another guild. You then use the first guild (I will call this one 'Cats' guild) to war the second guild (appropriately named 'Dogs' guild), and you let the Cats guild win. You repeat this, constantly winning them points and raising their rank. Eventually, they will be high enough in rank to buy land, alchemy buildings and other things. I have noticed this between a few guilds in game recently.
The Barbarianz and Barbarz guild as so closely named, and only ever war each other. And how has such a new guild got land already? It leaves you questioning the reliability of the guilds system. As I write this, guilds everywhere could be war fixing to get points. It's amazing how the GMs haven't noticed it, it is so blatant.
Also, to make it seem like they are not fighting the same guild all the time, the Dog's guild disbands, and the leader makes a new guild consisting of the same people (now Birds guild). The Cats guild wars the Birds guild, and wins again. And the process is repeated. Making a guild costs so little money in today's gaming community (If you can call it that.) New ones pop up and break apart within days. You never know. A guild like Cats could appear tomorrow, and already have land by the end of the week.
UPDATE:
I thought it would help my report to actually go and see this war. So on the 23/05/08 I observed the war between Barbarz and Barbarianz. To my surprise, they have exactly the same Guild Logo, just different colours. Also, they are from the same kingdom: Shinsoo.
I noticed that during the fight, they preffered to chat. The opposing team had just two low level characters. The low levels allowed the Barbarianz team to hit them once, so they would win. They then logged out and let the war finish (No enemies means instant finish). This means more points, more rank, closer to higher spot on the list.

These images seem to run backwards. The war end is up the top. See for yourself what they get up to.
